Chinese poetry has spiritual traditions from Buddhism and Daoism. The subjects vary from every day living, the appreciation of nature, precious moments in times, and a pointing to the unity of life.
A popular poet in China was Li Po who is also known as Li Bal.
Metallurgy
Metallurgy is most basically turning one metal to another. Taoist tried very hard to change regular unimpressive metals into the most wanted metal there is Gold.
The Taoist way of thinking was to practice alchemy, which at first was only experimental. Yet eventually they tried to find the perfect type of medicine that would allow them to live forever, and whatever this medicine was it would have to be absorbed into the human body.
Yet after hundreds of years the medicine was not found and lead could still not be turned into gold. After this realization focus shifted more towards Daoism and its major beliefs and practices, as well as fights that come along with religions of this sorts.
